Full Text

The discussion of the "Judiciary Bill" in committee of the whole, will, in all probability terminate to-day. It will be seen by yesterday's proceedings, that Mr. Mercer has consented to withdraw his motion for striking out the first section of the bill, and that Mr. Storrs has submitted an amendment, which was looked for, reducing the number of new Judges proposed by the bill, from three to two.—

The fate of the amendment is very uncertain, but we incline to think it will be adopted; in which event, the bill, as amended, will be immediately reported to the House, where it will be speedily disposed of. We entertain no doubt of its passing the House during the present week.
