Full Text
The Pittsburgh Democrat, a warm Jackson paper, says:--Mr. Webster's deportment is easy and unassuming. With intellectual faculties of the highest grade, he blends a well disciplined judgement, and with fame that would elate some ambitious men, he exhibits a plain and unpretending manner, with nothing of arrogance or self-sufficiency. We pay this compliment to Mr. Webster, not as a political partisan, but as a fellow citizen, who justly appreciates his talents. In his reception among us, every thing of a political tendency has been carefully avoided.
