Female Opium-Smuggler Caught.

Bonner's Ferry, Idaho, Nov. 22.—[Special.]—Deputy Collector of Customs Barnes boarded the steamer Spokane, running on the Kootenai river, at the boundary line on Sunday morning and commenced the customary searches for contraband opium. In a state room occupied by Mrs. McTaggert fifty pounds of unstamped opium were found concealed between the mattresses. The woman and two men, whom the inspector has reason to suspect, were taken into custody and will be brought to Coeur d'Alene.
