New Telephone Line.

At a meeting of the directors of the Interstate Telephone and Telegraph company held Tuesday, it was decided to put up a long distance telephone line from Winston to Wilmington. The proposed line will pass by Greensboro, Durham, Raleigh and Goldsboro.

Part of the material for building the line has been ordered, and as soon as it arrives work will be commenced on the line.

A good deal of stock in this company is owned by Durham men, and their energy will have much to do with the success of the undertaking.
