BACK TO THE LONG-SLEEVED NIGHT GOWN

PARIS.

The sort of night gown that many American women regard with the same aversion as red flannel underwear and calico mother hubbards, is coming back into favor among smart Parisians. The shops still show the most ornate of sleeveless night gowns, but to their most discriminating customers they are making tailored crepe de chine night gowns with long sleeves that end in little wrist bands for all the world like those that grandma used to wear. Sometimes there are neat little mannish cuffs fastened with metal links. Pajamas as sleeping garments have not gained much vogue here. All the shops show quantities of pajamas for women but they are for the most part designed to be worn as negligees.
