DENVER, (AP) — Anxiety over President Eisenhower's illness eased considerably this morning as physicians reported his condition "showed no changes to indicate complications."
The official report from Fitzsimmons Army Hospital at 9:40 a.m. served to lift tension created when the doctors announced last night that Eisenhower was "a little tired" and not feeling "as well as usual."
That bulletin last evening was the first which failed to say that the chief executive was progressing satisfactorily "without complications."
The doctors have said repeatedly any complications were most likely to develop during the first two weeks after the heart attack Eisenhower suffered a week ago last Saturday.
Eisenhower Restored to Helm of Administration
DENVER, (AP) — The signing of two official documents restored President Eisenhower to the helm of his administration Saturday but the temporary White House said doctor's orders will determine how fast the chief executive can resume additional duties.
As the President's top assistant, Sherman Adams, set up shop here to start paving the way for his chief to undertake gradually a greater degree of personal control of affairs of state.
Dr. Paul Dudley White of Boston, the internationally known specialist, has said Eisenhower should remain in the hospital for a month and prospects are reasonably good for full recovery within two months.
Expectations are that the chief executive may fly back to Gettysburg, Pa., for further recuperation at his farm home.
