CITY AND VICINITY ITEMS

Mrs. Sellars Peltier is spending a few days in Chicago.

Miss Erma Benson spent yesterday in Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Fullerton have returned home from a two month's trip to Colorado.

Mr. and Mrs. I. I. Hanna and daughter Marion have returned home from a trip to Ft. Dodge, Ia.

Misses M. Kelly and Nellie Farrell returned home from a two weeks visit to Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hardy and children have returned to their home in Kinsman after spending a week with Mrs. Hardy's mother, Mrs. Carr, on Clinton street.

Miss Lucy Gunn has returned to her home in this city, after spending the week end with her parents in Oglesby.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schidlofski have returned to their home at 508 Guthrie street, after a visit with their sister in Milwaukee. They brought their little niece, Freda Benke, home with them for a short visit.

Miss Katheryn Feehan has gone to Chicago for a short visit with friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zilm, of Streator, drove over to Ottawa this morning to spend the day with friends.

Charles E. Moore and James O'Toole left today for Moline to bring back a new Velie Roadster.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mulholland, of this city, received word yesterday that they were the grandparents to twins, a grandson and granddaughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Mulholland at 4042 Washington Boulevard, Chicago. Mr. Wm. Mulholland is so delighted with the information that it is claimed that he did not know whether he was selling dry goods or groceries today.

Mrs. John Pearce and Miss Margaret Pearce, of Chicago, are the guests of Ottawa relatives.

Stewart Nertney leaves tomorrow morning for Ann Arbor to resume his studies at the University of Michigan.

Miss Ruth Nelson of this city spent yesterday in Chicago.

Miss Anna Conard, of Congress street has returned to her home in this city after spending a few days in Chicago.

Mrs. J. N. Schiffgens, 1224 Illinois avenue, is seriously sick in Ryburn Memorial hospital.

Vernon Belrose will leave in the morning for Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he will enter the University of Michigan for the coming year.
