AUSBURY PARK, N. J., June 13. —(AP)
Mrs. D. Leigh Colvin of Evanston, Illinois, President of the National Woman's Christian Temperance Union, says the United States is headed back to national prohibition.
Addressing the opening session yesterday of a two-day meeting of the national WCTU, Mrs. Colvin said the nation was now in an organized "revolt against alcoholic beverages."
"One-quarter of the area of the United States, containing 28,000,000 population, is now dry or bans hard liquor," she said, predicting that "eventually entire States will go dry and ultimately the nation."
