That a brig Capt. Venters, lying there ready to sail for the West-Indies, loaded with live stock: Cattle. Horses, Grain; Lumber, was by the Ice driven on the rocks with such violence that the vessel was beat to pieces and the whole cargo entirely lost--the people were saved.
