Arrested for Forgery.

George Curry is under arrest for forgery. The arrest was made Tuesday, and in the preliminary hearing before Justice Smith, the accused, through his attorney, J. B. Huntington, waived examination and was held in the sum of $300 to appear before the grand jury. Curry, while intoxicated, forged the name of F. J. Beale to a check for $20, so it is alleged, and was advanced $ on the check at Clark & Saling's saloon. Curry was unable to furnish bond here and was taken to Pendleton Wednesday evening by Deputy Sheriff Kimbark.
