STATE ECONOMIC RESEARCH BODY CREATED IN L. A.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24. - A state research council to cooperate with the California Development association in promoting the economic welfare of the state was created here today.

The council, composed of representatives of more than 120 economic research agencies in California, will assist in coordinating and standardizing all economic data pertaining to the welfare of the state.

Resolutions creating the commission were adopted at a conference presided over by Henry M. Robinson, president of the First National bank here.

R. B. Teale, president of the California Development association, said: "The necessity of having facts with which to meet any emergency confronting the state cannot be overestimated. Development based upon fact is our aim in this undertaking."
