Full Text

ALFALFA A SUCCESS—A correspondent writes us from Kist, saying: "It has been proven in this neighborhood that alfalfa will do well in the Nehalem valley. A patch sowed by John Dallas last year has already yielded one good crop and the second one is growing at an astonishing rate. Another acre sown the first of June 1907 is now from 4 to 8 inches high. Several other parties tried alfalfa but didn't inoculate properly, so failed. If Dr. Withycombe's directions are followed closely alfalfa is a success. Try it."
