Full Text

Nov. 28. Duelling has descended to as low an ebb as possible, as will appear from the following fact: on Friday morning two footmen met vis et armis, without either the fear of God or loss of their places, in Hyde-Park, and there discharged a case of pistols. One of them whose name is John Richards was wounded in the thigh near the pope's eye, and it is much feared must suffer amputation. The other's hand is shattered by his antagonist's ball, the pistol going off as he was falling. One of these fellows is servant to a foreign Ambassador, and the dispute arose about a milliner's apprentice in Tavistock-Street.
