Kinsale, in Ireland, May 15.

This Day his Majesty's Frigate, Brilliant, detached from the Squadron under the Command of Commodore Styer, of Ushant, sent her Boat in for Intelligence, and we hear that he is in quest of four Men of War, which, upon his looking into Brest, he found had sailed from thence a few Days before he arrived off that Place.

The Commodore's Squadron consists of the Ocean of 90 Guns, Swiftsure of 70 Guns, Lancaster of 66 Guns, three Frigates, the Aeolus, Brilliant, and Arethusa.
