BOSTON, April 21.

This good People of this State, especially those of the maritime Towns, are desired to take proper Notice of a certain subterraneous Tribe, who, not much unlike the grovelling Mob, in Contempt of the Authority and in open Violation of the Laws, are undermining the Foundation of this Civil Fabrick, by such low Cunning and Chicanery, as giving the highest Price for Rum and Sugar, and 50 or 100 Dollars for the Cask: also paying the rated Price for Province Pork, Beef, Hay, Wood, &c. with large Sums for transporting the same. O Quantum wicked Practices evidently intended to defraud the Soldier, and starve his Family, while he is standing in the Service of his Country? Will it not hinder the filling up the Continental army: and much those in opulent Circumstances to Penury. Arise the Poor, and depopulate their sacro sanctum—State?
