With the price set at $25, it was voted to sell to the Town of Creswell for fire truck a used pump and suction hose.
Julian L. Poston reported the purchase of a TD-9 bull-dozer through the health department from government surplus for use in covering trash and garbage, at a price of $200, and that under the Civil Defense program a large generator had also been purchased from same source for emergency lighting.
Projects discussed and plans outlined towards future consummation: increased street lighting; easier access to Tyrrell High School by construction of walkway over old road bed with foot-bridge across canal; and the co-operation with the County Commissioners towards effecting repair to the Main Street river bridge, during winter months.
Members present: Mayor H. T. Davenport, Borden McClees, Floyd Spencer, Braxton Voliva, Ernest S. Brickhouse, Lloyd Davenport, Mrs. Louise Hales, Clerk and Julian L. Poston met with the board.
