Thursday Evening the Rev. Mr. Whitfield preached an excellent moving Sermon to the Prisoners in Newgate; and enforc'd his Doctrine in such a Manner, as to melt his Auditory into Tears. Afterwards he collected a handsome Sum of Money for the Use of the Prisoners; and then visited the Religious Society in St. Nicholas-street. And he preaches a Charity-Sermon on Monday next at Three o'Clock in the Afternoon, at St. Philip's Church, for the erecting an Orphan-house and Infirmary at Savannah in Georgia.
