JOSEPH BONAPARTE

The absurd stories which sometimes appear in the European papers relative to the Ex-King of Spain, render it difficult for persons at a distance to know what they are to believe on the subject. For the information of such, we give the following as intelligence which we know to be true.

Joseph Bonaparte resides at present on a farm owned by himself, known by the name of Point Breeze, situate on the river Delaware near to Bordentown, and about thirty miles above Philadelphia. He assumes the title of Count de Survilliers, is in habits of intercourse with some of the families in his neighborhood, receives visits from the ladies and gentlemen who occasionally resort to Bordentown, sometimes gives entertainments, and seems disposed to make himself agreeable to all by accommodating himself to the Republican manners of the country. He has expended a considerable sum in the improvement of his farm, and has added much to the natural beauty of the situation.

His residence last winter was Philadelphia, and we understand that the house lately occupied by M. de Kantzow, the Swedish minister, situate at the S. E. corner of High and Twelfth streets, is now fitting up for his reception during the approaching winter. - Phila. True Amer.
