According to Mrs. Iva P. Jackson, chief operator, dial telephone service in Glastonbury is scheduled to start officially on October 23. Installation of the dial telephones is now in progress and it is estimated that thus far one-fourth of the stations in town have already been equipped with dial phones. Mrs. Marion Pikula is replacing Mrs. Antoinette Dailey, who has resigned as telephone operator. Five members of the trimming crew of the Southern New England Telephone Company are now living in town. Headquarters for extensive trimming and repair work in the central part of the state will be located here.
