ANCHORAGE MAN WILL MAKE FLIGHTS WITH HAMMONTREE PLANE

Al Jones, Anchorage grocer and summer resorter, has purchased the Hammontree seaplane, which was brought to Anchorage a couple of years ago, and will use the machine for commercial flying, according to the Alaskan which features the news.

The new owner of the plane expects to be ready for a hop-off by June 25.

Jones will be assisted in his flight preparations by Charles Wannacatt, a Canadian ex-service man, who flew with the Canadian forces in France.

Jones has also had a lot of experience in the air, having been engaged in commercial flying before coming to Alaska.
