AMUSEMENTS,
Mrs. V. K Logan Seen In McCarthy's Mishaps. A Good Show.
Mrs. V. K. Logan, formerly of this city was seen at the opera house last evening in Barney Ferguson's comedy piece of McCarthy's Mishaps. Oskaloosa was the former home of the lady and her voice is well known here. There was a large attendance to greet the lady in her part of the play and may be said that the city paid her presence here fitting compliment. Aside from the plot of the comedy there was a lot of pleasing specialties. The musical team of the company is one of the best that has ever been here. Applause last evening was generously meeted out to the performers and justly bestowed where merited. It so happened that the evening was the last appearance of three others and the presence of all on the program made the evening a feast of good things. The entertainment lasted until about 11:20 o'clock and even then the house wanted more of it.
