An Interesting Goose Case.

A very interesting case was heard before Esquire Brady, Saturday evening. Arthur Brown of Browntown, was charged by Agnes Glynn, with cruelty to animals. The substance of the charge was that Mr. Brown had shot and killed seven geese, belonging to the complainant. The defense was represented by Messrs. Sharpley and Emmons; the State, by H. R. Pennington, Esq., and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, by Austin Harrington, Esq. It was proved that Mr. Brown had been much annoyed by the geese trespassing upon and destroying his pasture. The opposing counsel made things particularly lively throughout the case and argued it with great profundity. The case was dismissed.
