CAMP LEJEUNE, July 29. -Whether he will have room for it on his uniform which was already bedecked with 17 decorations remains to be seen, but another medal has been presented to Col. Lewis B. Puller, USMC. The Bronze Star medal was presented to Colonel Puller for meritorious action on Guadalcanal in 1942.

While attached to the First Marine division there, he led many successful assaults against the Japanese. Despite being wounded seven times, he heroically continued to lead his battalion of 11th Marines.
