Full Text

At an Alien Office Hotel.—A "poor, but honest" democrat, in the neighboring Niagara district, justly opposed to the election of Andrew Jackson. The old incumbent was soon reformed, and a new Jackson Collector put in his place, on Jackson principle. The Deputy, and fearing removal, wanting bread, bargained and wanting for his place, crooked the cringing knee, became a warm partizan of Gen. Jackson, supported his re-election, and has ever approved all his measures. It seems that this "Deputy Collector," who receives from Government $1200 per annum for his traitorship and disinterestedness, offered his vote at the recent election, was challenged, and proved to be an Alien; having for years fraudulently voted as an American citizen! Buffalo Patriot.
