Full Text

A letter from an intelligent house in Bordeaux, dated the 24th May, says—

'We have to congratulate you on the cession of Louisiana to your government.

Gen. Le Clerc's bills are no longer paid, under the plea that full value was not received for them. There is a question of obliging the holders to produce a copy of the bargain, which gives rise to their bills, and a copy, if for fournitures, of the garde magazin's receipt to prove that the objects whatever they were, were delivered. Not to lose time, whether this plan is insisted on or not we advise the documents being sent on.'
