G. W. Layne
Elruth Chester of Virginia has returned home to stay. He is the nephew of Mrs. McGhee.
E. Chandler of Alton, Illinois is in the city.
Bobbie Williams of Chicago visited his father, Henry Williams, of this city.
Porter Kyles and his brother, Joe, were called to the bedside of their mother who is very ill. The two brothers reside in Detroit.
The Federated Mission ladies held their installation at St. Luke M. B. church last week. Rev. J. T. Mitchell preached the sermon and Rev. A. C. Burton, pastor of the AME church, installed the officers. A number of persons attended the State Convention at Newport last week.
Mrs. Edner Brewer is on the sick list.
Mrs. Plumer Ewell and Mr. Jones have made rapid improvements recently.
Clarence Bell of Little Rock visited here last week.
Mrs. Mag Roberts is still very ill.
Mrs. Kyles passed last week.
A. L. Brunson was called to Searcy because of the death of his brother-in-law, Mr. Hawk.
