Mr. Ira W. Booten has placed on our table a copy of J. H. Brown's book, entitled "Four years in Secessia," giving a thrilling account of his adventures in the prison hells of the South. It is one of the most interesting books of the kind now extant, and should be in the hands of every loyal family. Once read, no Union man would grudge the sum paid for it. Mr. Booten is one of our citizens, and a wounded soldier unable to procure a livelihood by labor. This of itself will recommend him to the favorable notice of the friends of the soldier, and we assure them he will give them the worth of their money. Subscribe, everybody, and let your children learn how infamously wicked men can become, when they once raise their hands against the life of the nation.
