NO TRACE FOUND OF WRANGELL MAN LOST ON HUNTING TRIP

No trace has been reported to authorities of Lyle Hibner, who disappeared the night of November 13 in St. John harbor while on a hunting trip. No sign of the skiff in which he disappeared has been reported, authorities said. It is believed the skiff capsized, throwing the well known Wrangell man into the icy waters and that he was unable to save himself. Searchers believe the skiff drifted with the tide. It was equipped with a 5-horsepower Johnson outboard. Anyone noting the gray 14-foot skiff or outboard or any trace of the missing man should report to the Coast Guard immediately.
