Full Text
If we can judge by the language used by some of our cotemporaries, journalism in Wilmington has indeed sunk to a low level. You can always tell what the stream amounts to when you search at the fountain head. Gentlemen, who should teach the public to respect one another, should not so far forget themselves as to pose as blackguards before them. We all have a perfect right to differ in our views but blackguardism never was a winner in an argument. Newspapers are all judged the same as individuals by the language used in their columns. Gentlemen, shake hands and stop calling each other names. There's nothing in it.
