VOICE OF THE PEOPLE.

Editor Arkansas Farmer:-

My purpose in writing you is to encourage you in your good work, and to tell you that good women's prayers are going up for the success of yourself and your newspaper. Our people are in favor of everything which is good, but sometimes we have to be aroused before we can understand that ill-meaning forces are working in our midst; but when we know then we are of one mind.

Every mother appreciates your work in enforcing the law against Sabbath desecration; and we ask you to keep on fighting the pool room until it is closed: just as your newspaper aroused the people to defeat the efforts of those who would again bring the whiskey curse upon Arkansas.

My prayer is that your newspaper may continue to be the sentinel upon the watch tower.

I have suffered, and I wish to save grief to other mothers.

Yours, etc.,

A MOTHER.
