LONDON, SEPT. 4.
French Expedition to South America.
A letter from an officer on board the Dreadnaught, of 98 guns, in Basque Roads, states that they had picked up a French boat, with two Prussian soldiers belonging to Bonaparte's Colonial Corps, who had deserted from Isle d'Aix. They state that there are 12,000 French, and 600 other soldiers, now in garrison at Isle d'Aix, waiting to be embarked for South America. Three ships of the line are now lying in the Charente, completely rigged; and in d'Aix, three frigates, eight brigs, two schooners, one gunboat, and sixteen pinnaces.
