JAMAICA.

Kingston, Aug. 26. By a gentleman, who arrived in this town a few days ago from Cape Francois, we are favoured with the following account:--Two days before he left that place, intelligence was received, by the arrival of a small vessel from St. Eustatia, giving an account of a hurricane having happened there early in this month, which had done considerable damage on shore as well as in the harbour; a number of vessels being totally wrecked, and upwards of fifteen sail driven out to sea, of which no account could be procured previous to our informant's departure.

From the same gentleman we further learn, that the effects of the hurricane extended so far to leeward, as to be felt in many parts of Hispaniola.
