We learn of Capt. Allen, who arrived last evening, in 82 days from the Isle of France, that that part of the town of Port Louis, which was destroyed by fire in 1816, had not been rebuilt, although there was no want of materials, great quantities of lumber, bricks, frames for houses, together with all sorts of furniture, having been sent out from England. There was another fire on the 2d of July, which destroyed several houses, and a valuable magazine, containing 500 casks of claret wine, 200 bales of cotton and other merchandise, all of which was burned. The good effects of fire engines, recently established at that place, were witnessed on this occasion.
