$50,000 Mail Pouch Stolen in St. Paul
St. Paul. Feb. 3.--(P)-A pouch containing registered mail, worth between $30,000 and $50,000, was stolen from a mail truck here Monday, post-office inspectors disclosed Tuesday.
The pouch contained between 50 and 60 pieces of registered mail.
Inspector A. A. Wicht said the pouch was part of a general load of mail dispatched from the main post-office to a branch. The driver of the truck made several stops to pick up other mail before he reached his destination when it was discovered that the pouch was missing.
