Elkins was honored Wednesday night by visits from three of the candidates for state nomination on the republican ticket—Abe Lilly, for Attorney General; E. L. Long, for state treasurer, and Stuart F. Reed for Secretary of State. This with our own Mike King, whose chances for the nomination for Secretary of State are very bright, formed a quartet of brilliant statesmen, who were very busily engaged in giving their friends in Elkins the glad hand. The three visiting candidates left for Charleston on the morning Coal & Coke train.
