MR. EDITOR. Through the medium of your paper, an inquirer wishes to be informed, whether the following facts do not furnish evidence of extraordinary health and longevity in the town of Lancaster in the County of Worcester? The record from which they are taken, commenced in Oct. 1793. From that time to the present date, in a population consisting of about 1700 there have been 596 deaths.--182 of this number, a fraction less than one third, were persons upwards of 60 years of age-130, a fraction less than a fourth part, were persons upwards of seventy years of age-68, about a ninth part, had exceeded 80 years.
