The ship Eagle, Capt. Derner, has arrived at Philadelphia from Hamburg, and has brought the papers of that city to the 12th December.
Some translations from them appear in the Philadelphia papers; but they do not disclose any important events.
It appears, that the city of Hamburg, enjoyed tranquility; and the Senate entertained no fears from Prussia: That the King of Sweden was on a journey to Russia; in which the quid nuncs see the speedy completion of the armed neutrality league. That the Russian ships are furnished with Passports declaring the visit of any belligerent nation to such vessel will be regarded as a declaration of war.
-And that the crew of two English vessels, lying at Narva, having fired upon the armed force which attempted to arrest them in consequence of the embargo, and put to sea, the Emperor Paul had ordered that the remaining English vessels in the harbor should be burnt.
