NEWPORT. Aug. 19. 1771.

Last Tuesday a ship, built on a new construction, for carrying home to England a large quantity of Timber, was launched at Warren.---She was partly loaded before launching, with Timber framed in so as to be almost solid, and is to be filled up in the same manner: by which means, tho' she will measure but about 80 tons, carpenters tonnage, 'tis said she will carry, upwards of 1200 tons of Timber. This vessel is built on the plan contrived by Mr. Levi, who has a Patent for building this sort of vessels, which are called Rafts.
