Lieut. Gov. Dunn, the African Lion.

The Washington correspondent of the Picayune telegraphs the following to that journal, in reference to the movements of the mulatto colored Lieutenant Governor of our State:

WASHINGTON, Dec. 19.—Senator Kellogg and Lieut. Gov. Dunn, of Louisiana, had an interview with the President to-day, during which the President expressed opposition to Gov. Warmoth's recommendation concerning changes in Federal offices in New Orleans.

It seems to be conceded that Blanchard will be rejected as Postmaster, but Packard will be retained in position.

The Governor of Massachusetts has invited Lieut. Gov. Dunn, to visit Boston.
