How Would You Do It?

Frequently, after a kitchen is completed, it is up to the home-owner to give the finishing touches in decoration and suggest the proper color schemes. In this case, what would you suggest for this kitchen which has blue tile walls and deep blue marbelized linoleum with a white feature stripe, since the cabinets are all white? . . . Why not paint the edges of the corner shelves a vivid blue; on the middle shelves add attractive figures or dishes of peasant ware and replace the cacti on lower shelves with trailing ivy? Put a lustrous pottery bowl of flowers or a pewter plate of fruit on the refrigerator. A red and white tray and some red and white containers will relieve the severity and long stretches of the monel worktop. It will be convenient to have the condiment jars right beside the gas range within easy reach when cooking.
