Extract of a third letter.

"The disturbances in North America about the Stamps are very alarming, and cause great uneasiness to those Gentlemen who have large sums due to them there. The stagnation of remittances for a few months may be attended with bad consequences. You are very right with regard to the method of that trade from the body of merchants trading to the several provinces, who, in conjunction with those concerned in the trade thither, intend to apply to Parliament for some redress with respect to the American trade; and it is hoped the Government will repeal the Stamp Act, from a conviction that the late Ministry have done wrong."
