INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Sept. 22.-
John J. McNamara was convicted
in criminal court today on a charge
of blackmail in connection with a
labor war on the Elks club building
here.

McNamara, who was liberated
from a California penitentiary after
serving a sentence in connection
with dynamiting of the Los Angeles
Times, was charged in a grand jury
indictment here with terrorizing
workmen on the Elks club building
in an effort to secure the work of
installing a boiler for the iron workers'
union, of which he was business
agent.
