From Annapolis we learn that the bill for enlarging the bounds of the city of Baltimore was passed yesterday by the Senate and has become a law. The bill for establishing a criminal court for the city of Baltimore, as amended by the House of Delegates, was also passed yesterday by the Senate and has become a law, which takes effect, our informant believes from the time of its passage.
The bill to prevent Dueling (published in the Gazette of Wednesday last) has passed the Senate; the first section being so altered as to punish offenders by a confinement in the Penitentiary, instead of the punishment of death as originally reported. A bill has passed both houses authorising the Governor and Council to appoint Wood Corders for the City of Baltimore.
The bill for the removal of the Seat of Government is postponed until the next session of Assembly, and a motion to print it for the information of the people, rejected by a vote of 2 to 63.
A law has passed for the insolvent debtors in the City and county of Baltimore, the provisions of which are materially different from those of the present system.
A bill establishing the salaries of the Judges of Baltimore City court, had been reported but had not passed when our informant left Annapolis.
