The House of Delegates, have at length agreed to the Revenue Bill, with the omission of the tax on the Virginia Bank and on the Stock of the U. S Bank, deposited at Norfolk.--The same Bill passed the Senate, last evening. without any opposition.
The House of Delegates adopted also a resolution, declaring, that it was the right of the General Assembly to tax the capital of the Virginia Bank, or of any other Bank within the limits of the state, whenever they may deem it expedient.--This resolution was last evening. submitted to the Senate, where after various amendments being proposed, the previous question was put, that is, whether "the main question should now be put ;" which was decided in the negative.
The Senate have also adopted the Bill for disbanding the public guard, stationed in this city; with two or three amendments. One of these is to postpone the operation of the law until the 1st of June; it being supposed that a sufficient guard should be preserved, until the distribution of the public arms could be accomplished.
It is most probable, that the Legislature will this day adjourn its session. In our next paper, we Shall lay before our readers a list of the private acts, a summary of the acts of a public nature and a Statement of revenue and appropriations, &c. &c.
