That's the conclusion one will reach upon glancing at figures showing that 42 states are represented by families residing in the trailers at Camp Lejeune. And with their coming from all over the nation, there has not been, in three years of operation, a serious epidemic, wreck or theft or anything that would reflect upon the village. The figures are as of September 6, but they change from day to day with the constant shift of residents. North Carolina leads the list of states with the most inhabitants represented at Pine Grove. Ninety families are from the Tar Heel state, and runner up is New York state with 72. Next is Pennsylvania with 59, Ohio with 38, New Jersey with 31, and Massachusetts with 25. Other states represented include Florida 26, Michigan 24, California 23, Washington 7, and Maine six. States not represented on last Thursday were Arizona, Delaware, Montana, Nevada, Vermont and Wyoming.
