Full Text

They expedite criminal law business faster North than here. A murder committed in one month is often punished in the next. This should be so here, if we ever hope to get rid of Judge Lynch.

But Judge Lynch seems more popular with us than any other officer of government and perhaps justly so, for he more often does justice in punishing crimes than the other Judges. However, we are astonished that the lawyers do not use greater energy in opposition to his Court, for they never get fees therein. Instead of thwarting justice in the common Courts, in every conceivable way, they should rather expedite it, in order to prevent cases being thrown into Lynch's Court.
