We have a Report, That His Majesty's Ship, the Gibraltar, Capt. Norris, was blown up, in an Engagement with two Spanish Men of War, one of 50 Guns, the other of 40; and that Capt. Norris, who had but 20 Guns, finding himself like to be overpower'd, chose rather to blow up the Ship, than to become a Prey to the Enemy: It's said, this News came in a Letter from Madeira, and that it is confirm'd by another from Barbadoes; but Many suspend their Belief of this, till it is further Confirm'd, and Circumstances better known.
