ATHENS, May 7.—The ambassadors of the powers embarked on the war ships of their respective governments this morning and orders have been issued to the commanders to blockade the ports.

Two battalions of the Athens garrison have started for the frontier. The greatest enthusiasm prevails among the populace and the war spirit is rampant.

LONDON, May 7.—A later dispatch from Athens says that the Turkish ambassador with his staff, left the city, taking their personal effects. The embassies other powers are in charge of secretaries. The Russian minister refused to leave at the last moment, saying that in the absence of instructions he would have to remain. The Peloponesus army has been ordered to Thessaly.
