THE ASSEMBLY on Thursday appointed, Elisha Harris, Stephen Branch, and Henry L. Bowen, Commissioners to examine persons charged with rebellion against the State. Joseph M. Blake was afterwards added.

A resolution was sent down by the Senate, declaring that all who had been called into the service of the State should receive pay for their services. After some debate the House concurred.

On Friday morning the petition of Samuel Tuel of this town, for liberation from jail, was granted.

Mr. Updike presented a resolution to pay the officers and soldiers engaged in the late service, two dollars per day for the time they were in the field. Laid on the table.

An act was passed granting the Kentish Guards one thousand dollars, to build an Armory.

Messrs. Updike, E. S. Wilkinson, T. Whipple, Hawe, and Cottrell, were appointed a committee to devise some plan for replenishing the State Treasury.

A resolution requesting the Governor to issue his proclamation appointing an early day of thanksgiving, was introduced by Mr. Cranston, and passed.

On Saturday, Mr. Updike, from the Committee appointed for the purpose of reporting resolutions to the following effect, viz:--that the General Treasurer be authorized to withdraw from the several banks in the State, fifty thousand dollars of the deposit fund, so called, for the use of the State, the same to be returned as soon as may be, with the interest, at 6 per centum; that all claims arising out of the late insurrection, be presented for payment, by the first day of August; or be forever precluded; that a board consisting of three commissioners be appointed to examine claims, and that on the approval or allowance of the same, an order on the Treasury be given for its payment: that the General Assembly take proper measures to present to, and demand of the General Government, payment of the expenses incurred in the suppression of the late insurrection, and that the military employed in suppressing the late insurrection, be allowed one dollar per day for services.--The Resolution passed.

The General Treasurer was appointed to receive the funds due the State, under the distribution Act, by a resolution sent down from the Senate with which the House concurred.

The Assembly agreed to adjourn until the last Monday in October.
