City Attorney of Richmond Succeeds the late Murray Hooker.
Horace H. Edwards, city attorney for Richmond, has been elected chairman of the Democratic State Central Committee.
Mr. Edwards, a former member of the House of Delegates from the city of Richmond, succeeds the late J. Murray Hooker, of Stuart.
Mr. Hooker served as chairman from 1925 to his death several weeks ago.
The new chairman stated he will open state campaign headquarters at once and will pull no punches to elect the full Democratic ticket.
